Learning to photograph food

How do you learn to photograph food? First, stop eating it

Before I had time to learn landscape photography (I really didn’t — I still can’t shoot for anything), chance pulled me into food photography. There have only been a couple of sessions so far, but I have already «progressed» quite a bit — I pulled a tripod off the far shelf, read a few guides, and started shooting in natural (daylight) light.

Nothing much to brag about yet, but I can share an observation — both when you photograph food and when you process the shots, you stop thinking of it as food, you don’t want to eat it…

I wonder whether the same rule applies to nudes?

Why photograph food? For the hell of it!
